At Bahi Khata ("we", "our", or "us"), we believe your business data belongs to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application.
Where Your Data Lives
Local Storage (Default)
All your business data—including customer lists, supplier details, and transaction records—is stored locally on your device's internal memory. We (the developers) have zero access to this data.
Google Drive Backup (Optional)
If you choose to enable backups, your data is encrypted and sent directly to your personal Google Drive. We never see your Google credentials or your files.
Information We Collect
We collect only the bare minimum required for the app to function securely:
- Device Info (Model, OS version) for crash optimization.
- Anonymized usage analytics to improve features.
- Google Account email (only if you enable Backup).
What We Do NOT Collect
- We do NOT collect Your business ledgers (Customers/Suppliers)
- We do NOT collect Transaction amounts or history
- We do NOT collect Bank account details or UPI PINs
- We do NOT collect Phone contacts or call logs
- We do NOT collect Real-time location data
Third-Party Services
We use trusted third-party services to ensure app stability:
- Google Drive API: Solely used to upload/download your backup files upon your request.
- Firebase Analytics: Helps us understand which features are used most (e.g., "80% of users use PDF generation"). No personal data is attached.
- Firebase Crashlytics: Tells us if the app crashes so we can fix bugs quickly.
Children's Privacy
Bahi Khata is a business tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect PII from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately for deletion.
